Suits: David, Oil on Canvas, 48” x 36”

I became inspired to start this series because I'm fascinated by texture and pattern, and because I'm short. When I'm talking to a man this is mainly what I'm looking at. To me this series makes a subtle statement regarding power dressing and male dominance. This painting was included in an exhibition at the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art. The well-known Los Angeles art critic, Peter Frank awarded it a prize. I've put this series on the back burner because it's so difficult to find well-dressed men in casual Santa Barbara. However, I may take it up again if any well-dressed gentlemen cross my path in the future.
