The Butler Institute of American Art
Many thanks to The Butler Institute of American Art for flying me to Ohio for the unveiling of my contribution to their extensive permanent collection. Here I am making a few comments about my painting “Wind at the Door” to 700 attendees at their annual Founders Dinner. It was my first opportunity to see the Museum and its extensive and comprehensive collection of American art from the 18th century to the present. The Butler, established 100 years ago, is part of a network of lending museums and often loans valuable works of art for exhibitions nationally.
Although Youngstown is off the beaten path, this museum should be a must-see for any art lover’s road trip. Well worth the effort.
