Efflorescence
Other than a few canceled or postponed exhibitions, quarantine hasn't made much change in my everyday life. I still spend most of my time in solitude at the easel, or on walks alone on the beach. However, since museums and galleries were closed and there were no openings to attend, along with the uncertainty of the future; I decided to take on a very labor intensive project that would get me through a long quiet time.
The result was this kaleidoscope that wound up taking 6 months to complete. It was like trying to work on the world's most difficult jigsaw puzzle. Remember, this image was not created digitally, but by hand only. However, I'm happy to report that it will be going into an exhibition along with another piece at The Wildling Museum this Spring. At least someone will see it.
